The past 15th of June, a new version of the classic casino roulette was launched at four different casino facilities at Harrah’s Entertainment, named Rapid Roulette. The basic rules in this game are practicaly the same as in the classic one; the difference is that this new software has a computerized betting system which dramatically improved the game’s pace.
The director of casino table games operations for Ceasars, Paul Natello, said: “We are very happy with the game’s mechanism. Most of our customers feel that they are playing with the use of their computer. It uses two roulette croupiers (the same number of dealers to handle two roluette tables that has six players).”
The game is quite faster sicne the dealers don’t have to clear the chips from the table from losing players or give the winning amounts to other players because this duty will automatically be done by the computer. Another point in favor of Rapid Roulette is that players don’t have to get the chips themselves and that dealers and supervisors don’t have to record the player’s bets either.
The casino will also benefit from the game’s faster pace, as the new game has one spin before a minute is completed. From all the bets placed on the numbers, the casino wins aproximately 5,26% and another 2.63% on all even money wagers. While one roulette croupier spins a wheel, the other croupier will help players getting their computers to work and also give players out their winnings. This game also gives players the possibilty of rewarding dealers; they can touch an area on the screen or directly give them cash or a chip by the end of the game.
